Temporary Monitored Alarm Systems
Our Temporary Monitored Alarm systems are designed so they are NOT dependant on either mains power or a telephone land line, and are therefore ideal when a building is vacant, regardless of its structural state.
The alarm systems are battery powered, with a battery life of between 6 and 12 months in normal use and send signal alarm activations out to an alarm receiving centre using mobile phone technology. The systems comply fully with the SSAIB Code of Practice for Temporary Alarm Systems (enhanced TAS standard) and signal to a NSI regulated Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) when triggered. The standard approach allows activations to be dealt with whatever the time of day and where required enabling an SIA regulated trained mobile patrol to attend site and deal with the activation. We also have the added flexibility of allowing a client to be their own key-holder and alarm response in the event of an alarm activation.

The visually verified systems that Moorcroft install can include a number of detection devices including PIR detectors, PIR detectors with camera capability, smoke sensors and flood sensors. These systems are rapidly deployable and very cost effective, with clients only renting the systems when required, reducing the impact of capital expenditure.
Our visual verification alarm systems can be used anywhere and as soon as movement is detected the alarm is triggered and where camera PIR(s) are in place the system automatically captures a 5 second recording of the scene. A key benefit is that the video identification which can be viewed by the alarm receiving centre and also by the client on any web enabled device, cuts down on false alarms saving the client money often spent by mobile patrol officers attending false alarm activations caused by a genuine 3rd party person’s attending site and triggering the alarm having not been shown how to disarm the alarm.
When the camera PIR sensors are tripped, images are sent straight to a 24/7 response centre, manned by trained operators who can determine whether the alarm has been triggered by an intruder or a false alarm. They will then call the key-holders (normally a qualified SIA licenced mobile patrol company) who send a patrol immediately to site with the added benefit of visual verification enabling police attendance to be requested when required.
